Nava Bharat Energy India Limited, under its corporate social responsibility programme, distributed 250 desks to seven government schools across Paloncha, Manugur, Burgampahad and Tekulapally mandals in Bhadradri Kothagudem district. District Educational Officer B Nagalakshmi lauded the company’s efforts.
Kothagudem: As part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR)
programmes, Nava Bharat Energy India Limited of Paloncha, distributed
desks to government schools for the benefit of students.
As many as 250 desks were provided to seven government institutions
in Paloncha, Manugur, Burgampahad and Tekulapally mandals in the
district. District educational officer- ZP CEO, B Nagalakshmi attended
an event at Paloncha on Tuesday and handed over desks and the related
documents to the authorities.
Speaking on the occasion, Nagalakshmi referring to the contributions
made by Nava Bharat to different government schools said that the
company has provided science laboratories and experimental equipment
to several government schools. Skilled teachers were also appointed to
provide computer education to students and organised free tuition
classes.
The DEO further added that when students in 39 government schools
were facing difficulties due to the lack of toilets, Nava Bharat
provided them with washrooms and hand wash facilities. She commended
Nava Bharat for undertaking many programmes for the benefit of the
students.
Later, Nava Bharat Limited general manager (CSR) MGM Prasad explained
the activities undertaken by the company in government schools so far.
He informed that the company has provided as many as 4,500 desks to
several government schools in the district.
MEO Sriram Murthy, Nava Bharat School Principal NVK Prasad, Nava
Bharat High School headmistress P Jyothi, Rajeshwara Rao and Rajesh
were present.
